Every year CAMFT asks its chapters to nominate their Outstanding Chapter Leader for the previous year. This year, EB-CAMFT's Board of Directors has nominated Steve Toby for his dedication to the Chapter over many years. During Steve's year as President, which has just come to an end, the Chapter has grown in both membership and the number of volunteers who are providing new and creative services to our members. Without his efforts, it would be hard to imagine how our E-Tree and website would have become the innovative and valuable assets they are now. Here is the nomination paragraph that will appear in The Therapist.

Steve Toby has alwasy been at the forefront of our Chapter's movement toward communciation through the internet and our website. He served as our first webmaster and played a central role in the creation of our first website. When we hired a professional web design company, Steve met with them countless times and guided them in the creation of our current website. When we first set up our E-Tree, it became clear that we needed a manager to propose guidelines for its use, to monitor it for technical difficulties and to remind members about standards of use. Steve became the first manager of the E-Tree and served in that capacity for several years until he recruited two members to replace him in this job. Due to his diligence, the E-Tree is now seen as the most valuable benefit we have ever offered to our members. In all things related to technology, Steve has been a central player. He has bought and maintained our office computers, as well as the software that runs on them. Tho years ago, we called upon Steve to serve as President, and he graciously agreed. During his presidency, the Chapter has continued to prosper, adding new members and new services provided by a growing group of volunteers. We have been fortunate to have Steve's contributions to the Chapter for many years, and we are proud to introduce him as our Outstanding Chapter Leader of 2004.
