A few months into the year, there was an armed robbery in the building where our office is located. Annie immediately took the lead in locating a new, safer, more professional-appearing office, negotiating a lease and organizing the move. Although all of us pitched in, it was Annie who located and hired the services we needed and who was in on every aspect of the move.
Annie also prompted the chapter to look at its financial management. Along with the Office Manager and Treasurer, Annie located a professional bookkeeper who was hired to update our accounting and financial monitoring procedures.
Near the end of the year, Annie had a terrible fall and fractured some of the vertebrae in her neck. However, within a few months, she was back to Board meetings and working as hard as ever. Annie has done an outstanding and most professional job this year, in spite of some potentially serious situations and physical obstacles, helping the Board achieve our visioning goals and laying a solid foundation for the continuation of our visioning process in the future.
