Short Description (199 characters max)
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults who are physically located in California or Colorado. I offer in-person sessions in Denver, CO and also provide telehealth to clients located in California and Colorado.
Description (2950 characters max)
As a psychotherapist, it’s an honor to be a witness and facilitator to client transformation, resilience, and growth. My perceptiveness, compassion, and holding of a nonjudgmental space allow discovery and observation of patterns that may no longer be helpful.
I see my work through a social justice perspective and understand oppression itself as a form of stress and trauma. As a mixed-race and multicultural person of African-American and Jewish ancestry, I honor experiences of intersecting identities and am deeply interested in intergenerational trauma and resilience.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in California (BBS MFT 83991) and Colorado (DORA MFT 0001936). I attended California Institute of Integral Studies, where I received a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2007. Before that, I earned my undergraduate degree in 2000 from Harvard University, majoring in African-American studies. I have clinical experience working with individuals, families, and groups. I've provided psychotherapy in a day treatment facility for children, a hospice setting, and an integral counseling center. I also have worked for a non-profit, which grew out of the independent living movement, serving families with disabilities. I have experience working with issues including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, and grief and loss.
Together we can help find your authentic voice and path by tuning into the inner sense of knowing that has always been there.
I invite you to contact me for a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
