Mindfulness in Psychotherapy: Practical Applications for Client and Therapist

What exactly is Mindfulness? How exactly can its practice be useful to therapists and clients alike,
both during and outside of the therapy hour? What are some of the dangers and pitfalls of introducing
mindfulness practices as part of the psychotherapy process?

In this workshop, we will explore some of the various meanings and the actual practice of mindfulness,
as it applies to the psychotherapy relationship and process.

Topics will include:

-Brief background on Mindfulness and it's various meanings
-Periods of actual practice for participants to have a first-hand   experience
-The value and use of Mindfulness for the client and the  therapist, in and out of session
-Dangers and cautions in using Mindfulness as a therapeutic approach.

The fee for Wednesday workshops is $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Saturday workshops include a $10 member or $20 non-member fee.

Please RSVP to ceu@eastbaytherapist.org so we know for how many attendees we need to prepare space and nourishment.  This is a 1-hour CEU course.
