Help for PARTNERS of Survivors of Childhood Abuse                  CEU Presentation
With Scott Nelson, PhD, LMFT
When: October 1, 2014
Where: St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 451 Moraga Way, Orinda
What Time: 10am-12:15pm
How Many CEUs: 1

Survivors of childhood abuse (of all kinds) finally caught our attention in the mid-1970's and we have made significant progress in understanding the many complex outcomes experienced by survivors related to childhood abuse. However, the PARTNERS of survivors have received little clinical and research attention. As a result they are left to fend for themselves in their intimate relationships without the information they need to care for themselves and their survivor mate.

This workshop will discuss
1) The importance of PARTNER self care
2) General description of the many intra and inter personal issues that make the survivor's experience,
especially in their intimate relationships (including a section on the neurobiology of trauma)
3) Issues that confront survivor couples and 4) details of the experience of PARTNERS.

The fee for Wednesday workshops is $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Saturday workshops include a $10 member or $20 non-member fee.

Please RSVP to ceu@eastbaytherapist.org so we know for how many attendees we need to prepare space and nourishment.  This is a 1-hour CEU course.
