Oakland Athletics Baseball Social
Date: July 31th
Enact some self-care and meet other EB CAMFT members by joining us at the Oakland Coliseum for the Oakland Athletics Fireworks And A’s Batting Jersey Pullover Social.
We have reserved 100 Field Level tickets for the July 30th Fireworks game between the Oakland A’s and the Cleveland Indians. The game begins at 6:35pm and the fireworks show begins about 30 minutes after the game. We have reserved field level seats on the first base line so that we can view the fireworks from our seats. However, for those who want to view the fireworks from the field, the A’s do allow fans to enter the outfield for the fireworks event. (**If you take BART to the game and do not want to stay for the fireworks, you will need to leave the game before it ends because they shut down the bridge to BART during the fireworks show. **)
In addition to the game and fireworks, as part of our group package all of us will receive a FREE Oakland A’s Replica Batting Practice Pullover! For those of you who are interested in redeeming your voucher for the A’s pullover, the A’s advise that the earlier you redeem your voucher the better chance you have of receiving a pullover in your size.
The Oakland Coliseum is easily accessible by BART. Parking will be $20 at the gate.
NETWORKING/TAIGATING BEFORE THE GAME:
The tailgate social will officially be between 4pm and 6pm. This allows most people to go into the coliseum with enough time to redeem their voucher. Of course, people are welcome to stay in the parking lot for as long as they like.
I will attempt to secure parking on the southeast side of the stadium in Parking section B-8. I will be flying an A’s flag over a black Dodge Neon. (See attached images.)
Please bring your own food, beverages and supplies to the tailgate party.
Due to the unpredictability of attendance, timing and available space, we will not be catering this event. Additionally, the earlier people with cars get there the more space we will be able to secure for the social.
Firework nights tend to be popular so the parking lot will most likely fill up before the game.
If you are driving to the tailgate please take the Hegenberger exit. (Not the 66th street exit.) If you are taking BART, turn left after crossing the train track bridge.
