This workshop is geared towards the practicing therapist who does not specialize in eating disorders but would like to gain familiarity with what it looks like in a client, how to diagnose, and when to refer. Also covered are the medical complications for eating disorders, the available levels of care, and co-occurring disorders.
Beverly Swann, MFT, has been working with clients with eating disorders for seven years in clinical settings. She also has a lifetime of personal experience with eating disorders. The foundation for her strengths-based, whole-person viewpoint of psychotherapy is a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University with a specialization in Body Oriented (Somatic) Psychotherapy.
