Introduction to The InterPlay Way for Helping Professionals

  • Saturday, February 09, 2013
  • 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM
  • St. Mark's United Methodist Church
Presenter: Colleen (Coke) Nakamoto, LCSW

St. Mark's United Methodist Church
451 Moraga Way, Orinda

Interplay is a global social movement dedicated to ease, connection, human sustainability and play. One of Interplay's slogans is "Unlock the Wisdom of the Body!”

Participants will be introduced to the philosophy and basic forms of Interplay through lecture, demonstration and easy experiential exercises. (Dress comfortably for gentle movement.)

The presentation will demonstrate how Interplay can both enhance therapist self-care and deepen the therapeutic process. Interplay calls forth the playful side of an individual or a group, which often shifts one's sense of self, subtly yet deeply, from powerless to powerful.

More information can be found at interplay.org.
